The worlds leading online poker platform, PokerStars, has officially launched in Ontario! The Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO) has granted them the necessary authorization.
PokerStars’ parent company, TSG Interactive Canada, was given the approval for an internet gaming permit earlier this month. The permit is valid for two years, commencing on June 8th, 2022.
TSG Interactive is under the ownership of Flutter Entertainment, who acquired them in 2020.
Tom Warren, the marketing manager, stated, “Ontario is like our home ground. The very first PokerStars match was played here over two decades ago. We’re extremely enthusiastic about this newly regulated setting where our players can enjoy the game.”
PokerStars is recognized for providing the most thrilling and epic poker experiences. They’re prepared to begin!
PokerStars also introduced a peer-to-peer betting platform called PokerStars Exchange in April. It utilizes the same global liquidity pool as Betfair, which is also under the ownership of Flutter Entertainment.
