Betby Secures MGA Accreditation for Esports Betting Solutions

Esports betting solutions provider, Betby, has secured a major win with the Malta Gaming Authority (MGA) accreditation. This recognition empowers Betby to extend its comprehensive esports odds and data solutions to a broader audience, particularly focusing on operators holding MGA licenses.

The accredited solution encompasses a suite of functionalities, including pre-game and live odds, extensive content reach, and a specialized data analytics hub. This enables operators to either utilize Betby’s offerings as a standalone esports data feed or seamlessly integrate them into their existing platforms, such as the Betby Sportsbook.

Beyond the fundamental data services, the solution equips operators with critical tools for risk mitigation, administrative operations, and even facilitates esports live streaming via platforms like Twitch.

This accreditation, a testament to Betby’s dedication to regulatory adherence, was awarded following a stringent assessment process by the MGA, verifying that the solution fulfills all required benchmarks.

This accomplishment aligns with a leadership change at the MGA. Departing CEO Carl Brincat oversaw the final phases of this certification process, marking one of his concluding contributions before passing the baton to Charles Mizzi on January 26th. Mizzi brings over two and a half decades of expertise in finance, investments, and the Maltese business environment to his new position.

The MGA holds a pivotal role in the gaming sector, responsible for issuing licenses in Malta, as well as conducting inquiries and taking measures against any license holders found in breach of regulations or legislation. Recent instances of this include the suspension of Rush Gaming’s license in early January and the annulment of Super7plus’s license last week.

Eva Berkova, COO at Betby, conveyed her excitement, stating that this MGA accreditation represents a significant landmark for the company’s development and expansion.

Betby has been heavily investing in its proprietary esports wagering platform recently… They’ve collaborated with major players in esports analytics, and the feedback has been overwhelmingly favorable.”

Ilze Ramolina, Betby’s Chief Legal Officer, stated: “Receiving authorization from the Malta Gaming Authority is monumental for us. Compliance is paramount to our operations – it’s ingrained in our very being. This endorsement of our esports betting offerings is another triumph as we expand our portfolio. Rest assured, this is merely the inception for Betby. Our aspirations are far loftier, and we aim to introduce our products to a greater number of regulated jurisdictions.”
