The UK National Lottery’s administrator, Camelot, has increased its support for British competitors traveling to the Tokyo Games by providing funding for essential COVID-19 safety precautions. Camelot’s contribution, as a longtime supporter of Paralympics GB and Team GB, will be critical in creating a secure setting for the athletes.
This funding will cover a variety of initiatives, such as hygiene equipment and testing for Team GB, as well as lateral flow tests and COVID-safe transportation for Paralympics GB. Nigel Railton, Camelot’s CEO, expressed his delight at being able to assist the athletes, particularly during these trying times.
Aside from direct athlete assistance, the funds will be used to develop a “Daily Health” program that focuses on employee well-being. Railton believes that this is an excellent opportunity for everyone engaged to strive for greatness on a daily basis.
