Affinity Interactive (AI) is elated to share that seasoned leader, Andre Wilsen, will assume the position of Chief Executive Officer effective January 1st, 2023.
Wilsen is well-acquainted with AI, having held the Chief Financial Officer role since 2019. He takes on this new responsibility as Mary Beth Higgins, the incumbent CEO, moves into a well-earned retirement. Rest assured, Higgins will remain as a consultant until June 2023 to guarantee a seamless transition.
James J. Zenni, Jr., AI’s Chairman, conveyed his trust in Wilsen, remarking, “Andre has been essential in establishing AI as the industry leader it is now. I am certain his guidance will drive us to even greater achievements.” Zenni highlighted the company’s preparedness to leverage the increasing desire for digital and physical gaming encounters. He believes that Wilsen’s vast experience in gaming investments and management will be crucial in navigating this promising period.
Wilsen played a key part in the 2021 unification of Affinity Gaming and Sports Information Group, which created the strong AI we recognize today. His proficiency originates from his time as Managing Director at Z Capital Partners (ZCG), where he refined his abilities in gaming and hospitality ventures.
Wilsen expressed his eagerness, stating, “I’m incredibly enthusiastic to guide AI into this upcoming phase of expansion and advancement.”
